Dancefest

The Bransford Trust’s support for Dancefest helps us to deliver our mission to be an outstanding community dance organisation.

Grant funding from The Bransford Trust has supported Dancefest’s work in Worcestershire, helping us deliver our mission to be an outstanding community dance organisation.

Dancefest exists to enable anyone to experience the joy of dance. In our eyes everyone is a dancer, regardless of age, ability or experience. Our work is about joining in – we run over 30 weekly classes across Herefordshire andWorcestershire, have three youth companies, lead projects in schools, colleges and universities as well as in community settings, such as residential homes. We pride ourselves on delivering work of high quality that makes a genuine difference to people’s lives, all led by an experienced professional team.

Funding from The Bransford Trust has supported our annual programme of dance classes, performances and projects in and around the Worcester area since January 2014. To date, this has included 9,414 people participating in dance activity in Worcestershire, 33 performances and 2,785 people watching dance. Dancefest performances are often in unusual spaces and places and have included Worcester High Street, The Commandery, Pershore Abbey Park, Tenbury, and across the parkland at Croome.

We are a charity that relies on public donations and fundraising to continue our work. We are incredibly grateful for the continued support of the Bransford Trust, for making it possible to deliver dance that makes a difference to people’s lives.
