In September 2015 The Bransford Trust made it possible for Vamos Theatre to create a brand new youth theatre.
Vamos Young People's Theatre is the youth theatre strand of the UK's leading Full Mask Theatre Company. Proud to be based in Worcester, Vamos tours innovative full mask theatre productions nationally and internationally; delivering training and education workshops in a wide range of settings including schools, colleges, businesses, care homes, festivals, and conferences.
It is important for Vamos Theatre to share these unique skills with young people, so in creating a new group for 9 -13 year olds, Vamos offer the young people the opportunity to experience high-quality drama training, with a particular emphasis on the innovative and engaging mask theatre for which Vamos is renowned.
We have an exciting programme of work ahead sharing our work with partner youth theatres in Malvern, showcasing our work at a Care Home in the local area and in a professional theatre environment at The Belgrade Theatre Coventry as part of The Highly Sprung annual Physical Fellowship - a celebration of young people and physical theatre. As well as this, the young people will be working in collaboration with historians from the Hive to make a piece of theatre inspired by true stories with historical accuracy.
