The Prince's Trust supports 13 to 30 year-olds who are unemployed and those struggling at school and at risk of exclusion.
Many of the young people helped by The Prince's Trust are in or leaving care, facing issues such as homelessness or mental health problems, or have been in trouble with the law. The Trust’s programmes give vulnerable young people the practical and financial support needed to stabilise their lives, helping develop self-esteem and skills for work. Since 1976, The Prince’s Trust has helped more than 825,000 young people and supports over 100 more each day. Three in four young people supported by The Prince’s Trust move into work, education or training.
Since 2008, the Bransford Trust has played a key role in enabling The Prince’s Trust to support disadvantaged young people in the Worcester area. The continued and generous support of the Trustees has helped provide a range of opportunities to local young people to develop their skills and confidence, reach their potential and lead happy and fulfilled lives. Thanks to the Bransford Trust, local young people have received support through a range of Prince’s Trust programmes. These include; Team, a 12-week personal development programme, Enterprise, which supports youth entrepreneurship, xl, to help those struggling in school and Get into, which provides young people with experience and opportunities in a specific industry.
